    • EVANSVILLE, Ind. ? David Blake Shinn, 58, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.

      David was born in Russellville on Oct. 22, 1955, to James Ervin and Bettye Margaret (Davis) Shinn. He graduated from Arkansas Tech in 1974 with a bachelor?s degree in education.

      David is survived by his loving wife, Cayce Michele (Grace) Shinn of Newburgh; son, Blake Shinn (Jennifer) of Conway; father and stepmother, James Shinn (Susan) of Atkins; brother, Bill Shinn (Jennifer) of Bull Shoals.

      David is preceded in death by his mother, Bettye Margaret (Davis) Shinn.

      A celebration of David?s life was conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with the Rev. Paul Linge officiating.

      A graveside service was conducted 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, Ky.
